We are a Moroccan company based in Marrakesh, specialized in one product: authentic Moroccan black soap, also known as Beldi soap. We source it from trusted local cooperatives and supply it to beauty brands, spas, hammams, retailers and distributors worldwide.
This page tells you who we are, where our soap comes from, how we check every batch, and why buyers choose to work with us.
- Cooperative-sourced Beldi soap, prepared with the traditional olive paste method
- COA, SDS, certificate of origin and specs prepared before every export shipment
- Bulk tubs, retail jars and private label — one dedicated team in Marrakesh

Our Story

For most Moroccan families, black soap is not a trend. It is part of the weekly hammam visit. The ritual is simple: warm water, a bowl of Beldi soap left on the skin for a few minutes, then a firm scrub with a kessa glove that leaves the skin clean and soft. A small bottle of argan oil often finishes the routine.
Demand for Moroccan black soap has been growing fast abroad, but many international buyers were receiving watery, heavily perfumed or diluted products sold as authentic Beldi soap. Others could not find a supplier able to provide stable quality, clear documents and professional packaging.
Moroccan Black Soap was founded in Marrakesh with a clear goal: to make real Moroccan Beldi soap easy and safe to buy for businesses anywhere in the world, while keeping the traditional method and supporting the people who make it.
- Rooted in the weekly hammam ritual families have kept for generations
- Built for buyers who need stable quality, not diluted or perfumed substitutes
- Marrakesh warehouse team you can reach in English, French and Arabic
Our Mission
Our mission is to supply genuine Moroccan black soap with the consistency, transparency and documentation that professional buyers need. We want every spa therapist, formulator and shop owner who opens one of our containers to find the same thing: a dark, smooth, olive-based paste that performs exactly as Moroccan black soap should.
- Beldi texture and performance you can repeat from order to order
- Clear specs, COA and origin files — no vague marketing claims
- Samples, bulk tubs, retail jars and private label from one Marrakesh team
Our Partner Cooperatives
Our soap is made by partner cooperatives in Morocco, where artisans have prepared black soap for generations. Many of these workshops employ women from the local community.
We chose this model for three reasons:
Our team visits partner workshops regularly to follow production, discuss quality and plan volumes for upcoming orders.
- Authenticity: cooperatives use the traditional slow-cooking method with olive oil and olive paste, not industrial shortcuts.
- Traceability: every batch can be traced back to the workshop and production date.
- Fair income: buying directly, without middlemen, means better and more stable income for the artisans.
How We Control Quality
Quality is not a slogan for us; it is a routine we follow for every order.
- 1Raw material check: olive oil and olive paste are selected with the cooperative before production.
- 2Traditional production: the soap is slowly cooked, rested and cured until it reaches the right texture.
- 3Batch sampling: we take a sample from every batch and record its batch number, date and origin.
- 4Visual and sensory control: color, texture, scent and consistency are checked against our reference standard.
- 5Laboratory analysis: samples are tested for pH, moisture and composition, and results are issued as a Certificate of Analysis.
- 6Clean packing: the soap is packed in food-grade, airtight containers and stored away from heat and light.
If a batch does not meet our standard, it is not shipped.
From Morocco to the World
Our warehouse in Marrakesh is where orders are prepared, labeled and documented. From here we ship by air and sea to Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia, on FOB, CIF or DDP terms.
Every export order comes with the documents international buyers need: Certificate of Analysis (COA), Safety Data Sheet (SDS), Certificate of Origin from the Moroccan Chamber of Commerce, a product specification sheet with INCI ingredients, and organic certificates where applicable. We also help clients with label formatting for their target market.
